The Primrose Ball is currently organised & hosted by Michelle Middleton and Benjamin Shaw, both of whom have raised money and awareness for Endometriosis - to find a bit more about each host, and why they are involved with The Primrose Ball please see their personal bio's below.
Michelle has dedicated much of the last decade to raising awareness and supporting others, in her past role as EUK volunteer , Facebook support pages (like Endo Chat Yorkshire), being the NHS case-study, blog writing, and as The Primrose Ball founder and host. Michelle has been fighting Endometriosis and its effects since 2005, with a roller coaster of treatments and surgeries, and without a clear end in sight.
"Raising awareness and fundraising, supporting others and providing pathways to knowledge is a powerful antidote in regards to my personal fight with Endometriosis, its my way of fighting back at this awful disease, especially in regards to The Primrose Ball, which gives me great pleasure and a sense of peace, if just for that day"
Benjamin was a guest at our ball in 2015, which inspired him to take a challenge in order to raise money and awareness for EUK. Benjamin, now AKA marathon man, has a growing history of running for the charity with the following amazing achievements, as listed below:
Blackpool Half Marathon Aug 2014 raised £300
Leicester Marathon Sept 2016 raised £715
English Half Marathon Warrington Sept 2017 &
Manchester Half Marathon Oct 2017 combined £320
Brighton Marathon April 2018 £700
The next challenge is the London Marathon if lucky enough to be accepted, and The Primrose Ball is right behind him, primarily promoting his
Just Giving page and cheering him on!
He is also supporting The Primrose Ball by joining with the organising and hosting, making a dedicated whip cracker and full of ideas!
